The Water Plant is one of the most frustrating parts of the Altador Plot. However, with this simple method, you should be able to solve it in no time!

There are a total of four wheels and four levers throughout the three rooms.

Left room: Two wheels

Center room: Two wheels, one lever

Right room: Three levers

To begin, set all of your wheels and levers to the OFF position. The starting positions of your wheels and levers will be mixed. It is unlikely they will all be off when you start.

On Off
Lever
Wheel

If you take a look at the various pipes and basins when you’ve got them all turned off, you should note that some are empty and some are full.

Empty Full
Pipe
Basin

Now, go through your rooms and turn each wheel and lever on one by one. If one of the pipes or basins in the room fills with water when you turn a wheel or lever on, then leave it on! If none of the pipes or basins fill, then turn it back off. Alternately, if you have a filled pipe or basin all ready and flipping something empties it, turn it back off.

As you’re working through your last room in this manner, one of the levers you try should automatically take you to the front room of the Water Plant- congrats, you’ve solved it!

You did it!!

If the above method does not work for you, please feel free to send us a ticket detailing what happened for you. Additionally, you can brute force the step by trying all of the combinations!

Basically, this involves systematically trying every single possible combination of valve (wheel) and lever positions there is. Sound like a mammoth task? It is, but there are ways to make it a bit easier. We suggest that you follow the instructions outlined in the image below.

Note: Setting all the wheels and all the levers to the 'on' position will cause Altador to flood! Just skip the {wheels xxxx},{levers xxxx} combination.
Altador Water Plant Table

The order of combinations has been specifically tailored to cut down on the time taken to switch between rooms (kudos to lemonsatan for coming up with this technique). Just follow the instructions and (sooner or later) you should come across the correct combination. To avoid losing track of your position, you might want to use tally marks to keep track of how many lever combinations you've tried with each wheel combination.

If you try all the combinations (i.e. reach {wheels oxoo},{levers oxoo}) and things still aren't fixed, it's likely that you somehow missed one or more of the combinations. Just relax, take a break (or flood Altador a few times) and try again later - you'll be sure to get it eventually.
