Battle or Volunteer

Shades from the Void are taking over and we must aid Torakor in battle, defending different lands across Neopia. If you do not have a battle pet ready, or are not interested in the Battledome section of the plot, you are eligible to earn points thtough volunteering in the Neopian Hosptial.

Battling

Head to The Void Within plot Headquarters and click on the Battle tab. You will be informed when there are new enemies to take on as they are released. This battle will be unlike any before, facing a certain amount of waves before completing the battle.

After selecting to battle, you will be able to choose which difficulty & set of waves you wish to take on and then head into battle.

You will then have to pick which pet you wish to head into battle with and take on a certain number of waves (depending on what you chose), so bring appropriate battle equipment.

Depending on the difficulty you chose the HP of your opponent will change, scaling with each level.

Battle Rewards

You will receive your battle prizes and plot points after defeating the final wave of the Battle Profile you selected. Initially, players could only earn up to 200 plot points per day through battling. However, with the release of Act III, this daily cap was removed and replaced with a total chapter maximum of 4000 points. These points can be earned through battling, reading the story, playing mini-games, and volunteering (note that void essences and achievements do not count toward the chapter maximum). Once you reach the cap for Neopoints, plot points, and items, you will no longer receive additional rewards from battles—though you may continue battling if you wish.

Vocivus Sitewide Raid

On June 2nd, 2026, a sitewide raid against Vocivus the Ceaseless Gormandizer began. Unlike previous encounters, Vocivus possessed an enormous shared health pool of 3,000,000,000 HP, with every player's battles contributing to its depletion.

To start contributing toward the raid you must navigate to the Barracks and click the Fight Vocivus! button on the raid banner.

While Vocivus’ health was shared across the entire site, players could earn rewards by reaching personal damage milestones throughout the raid. Each milestone granted a prize upon returning to the Barracks.

Players could earn various rewards such as items, plot points (which counted toward the chapter maximum), and avatars for participating; below is a list of each milestone reward.

Volunteering

If battling doesn't interest you, you are able to volunteer your time in the Neopian Hopsital (or you are able to do both). Head to The Void Within plot Headquarters and click the Battle tab. Instead of choosing to battle, pick Volunteer In The Hosptial instead.

From here, you will be prompted to select a pet to help volunteer. Please keep in mind that this pet will be busy helping for up to six hours.

You will receive your prize and plot points after completing your volunteer session.
