NC Fortune Cookies

An Orange Cybunny, named Noda, has spent years perfecting his grandmother's fortune cookie recipe. Now, this native of Shenkuu is finally ready to share his beloved grandmother's creation with the rest of Neopia. In Year 14, just in time for the Cybunny Carnival, Noda has opened his Fortune Cookie shop.

NC Mall Fortune Cookies are a special type of NeoCash item. There are two categories of NC Mall Fortune Cookies. Some Fortune Cookies contain one of a number of exclusive NeoCash wearable items, while other Fortune Cookies grant the user special Neopets site perks. There are no bonus item prizes available for any type of Fortune Cookie.

Purchasing NC Mall Fortune Cookies

Fortune Cookies are only baked in small batches. In order to buy one, you have to keep checking Noda's shop in the NC Mall. When there are cookies in stock, click on the cookie you wish to buy and enter your password to automatically purchase the cookie. Before Purchasing a Fortune Cookie make sure you read the FAQ!

Item Fortune Cookies

NC Mall Item Fortune Cookies each contain one exclusive NC wearable. The exclusive items are specific to the flavor of Fortune Cookie and are not available anywhere else on the site. Like with real fortune cookies, the purchaser has no way to select the fortune inside, so the item received from the Fortune Cookie is randomly selected from the list of exclusive items.

The Item Fortune Cookies are particularly special because they allow users to both keep the exclusive item for themselves and gift a copy of that item to one or more Neofriends, without having to use a gift box. Item Fortune Cookies cannot be gifted to other users by using NC Mall Gift Boxes.

Once you have purchased your NC Mall Fortune Cookie, go to your Inventory, and click on the cookie you wish to open. Once opened, you will see which of the exclusive items is contained within the cookie. One copy of the item will be added to your inventory, and you will be able to send a copy of the item to one or more (if you're lucky!) of your Neofriends.

You can choose your VIP Neofriends from the dropdown list or type in the user name of the person you wish to send the item to. You can even choose to send it to your main account or any of your side accounts. After clicking "Submit," you will be asked to enter your password - and your PIN, if you use one - for your security.

Once your gift is sent, it is automatically added to the recipient's inventory, without them having to accept the gift. Gifts from Fortune Cookies cannot be rejected, so make sure you only send them to friends who will want the items.

Site Perk Fortune Cookies

Some types of NC Mall Fortune Cookies do not contain any NC Mall wearable items at all. Instead, these Fortune Cookies grant the user additional uses of a specific daily-use part of the Neopets site for a set duration, usually seven days. These types of Fortune Cookies can only be used on main accounts. They can also be gifted to other users by using NC Mall Gift Boxes. Be sure to activate these cookies in your Inventory prior to use.
