The NC Kidnapping Caper

Once again it's time to put your detective skills to the test in The NC Kidnapping Caper! From May 19th - May 25th 2015, Neopians can select up to three case files and use clues to investigate and search for special NC prizes!

In order to help solve the mystery, you'll need to pick case files. You may pick one, two, or all three of the available case files. For each case you join, you'll need to buy a special case file from the NC Mall to reveal all the clues needed to help solve the mystery. Each case file costs 700 NC and is used for the entire event.

To join the search, you'll need to activate your purchased case files. This can be done from your Inventory by clicking on the case file and selecting "Activate Case File" from the dropdown menu. Case files can also be activated directly after purchasing it on the confirmation page by clicking the "Open Case File" button. Only one of each case file per account is able to be activated. The case files may be gifted and used on side accounts. Now that your case files are activated, you can visit the main page and start looking for clues. When there is a new clue to search for, on the main page a "view hint" link will be visible. In order to earn all your prizes, all clues must be found before the event ends on May 25th at 11:59PM NST. Clues may be solved on previous days if you happen to miss a day.

Participants in this event have multiple opportunities to earn bonus prizes, in addition to the daily prize from finding all the items for a specific case file. You have a chance at a bonus prize when you activate a case file within the first three days of the event. Completing the clues in one case file will grant another bonus from a pool of items. Additionally completing case files for all three categories during the event will award you an additional bonus prize on top of the three team prizes you choose.

The Bonus Prizes

For completing a case file, a prize pool of four previously released items were able to be selected. Only one prize from each case file is to be collected, depending on how many case files detectives participated in.

For completing all three case files, detectives were awarded a Gift Box Mystery Capsule. Inside this capsule contains one of three limited edition eventide wearable items. Also, by opening this capsule at least two gift boxes will be awarded with the chance at obtaining the limited edition gift box.
