Festival of Neggs '13

This year the annual Festival of Neggs saw two NC components for Neopians to participate in. They are Bloomin' Neggs and Honest Pete.

Bloomin' Neggs

As the yearly Festival of Neggs approaches, Neggs can be grown to receive exclusive NC item prizes daily. Bloomin' Neggs launches on March 21, 2013 and will run until April 9, 2013. As long as the Bloomin' Neggs event page is available, participants can collect their prizes. There will be four different kits and four different types of negg pots. Each kit will correspond to a certain type of Negg pot. At the end of the event there will be a bonus item awarded to participants who activated all four planting kits. The planting kits can be gifted to friends, and participants can also join in on their side account as well.

Getting Started

To participate in this event, you'll need to venture over to the NC Mall and purchase a Bloomin Neggs Planting Kit for 500NC. Each of the four planting kits will last for all five days of growth. You will need to care for your pots each day to collect your exclusive NC Mall items. Prizes can be collected for the current day as well as previous days. The exclusive items can only be collected from each Negg pot once per account.

Before you can begin growing your Neggs and collecting prizes, you will need to activate your Planting Kit. To activate your kit, view your Neopoint Inventory and click on the planting kit you wish to activate. From the drop-down window select "activate". You can also activate your planting kits by visiting the Bloomin' Neggs page and click on the pot you'd like to activate. Once your kits have been activated, they are ready to use. Use caution when purchasing your planting kits and activating them to be sure you only buy the ones you need. When a Negg pot is yellow, it indicates that more growing can be done and another prize is waiting for you. Just click on the pot to receive your new exclusive NC Mall item. Now go grow some Neggs!

Honest Pete

Honest Pete has made his way to the Festival of Neggs this year. He is a trustworthy Shoyru with a brilliant scheme, that he'll share with you. But there's a catch, you must keep it a secret and tell no one of your discovery.

Honest Pete has discovered that when holes are punched in the middles of the Decorative Neggs, they look just like Doughnutfruits. If you bring Pete some Decorative Neggs, you'll be rewarded with an exclusive NC Mall wearable. Before you can punch any negs, you'll need to purchase a Negg Puncher from the NC Mall for 125NC. While searching Neopia for the Neggs Kari is looking for, participants will also find special Decorative Neggs that can be brought to Honest Pete. The neggs you'll need to find for Honest Pete will be found in the same world as the Negg for Kari on that day. When one of Honest Pete's Neggs have been found they will look like the following picture.

Now that you have your Negg Puncher, visit Honest Pete and punch some Neggs and make some Doughnutfruits to receive your prize.
