The Daily Neopets › Neopets Articles › The Second-Hand ShoppeWhat is the Second-Hand Shoppe, you say? It's basically the same thing as the Money Tree. The only difference is that everything in the "shop" is wearable! Plus everything is free, of course!

Like I said before, the Second-Hand Shoppe is very similar to the Money Tree. If you see an item you like, click it. Fast. If you're lucky, that item will be yours! Although occasionally there are good items, most of the time the shop is filled with dung and potato sacks. It's usually best to avoid any items that are in large quantities. Chances are that these are Key Quest junk items. Also, there is no limit to the number of items you can get per day. But would you really want lots of dung and potato sacks?
Every so often, there are items "released" into the shop by TNT. They are "donated" by plot characters such as Jerdana. On April Fool's Day 2009, hundreds and hundreds of items were "donated" to the shop by plot characters. One item in particular was only obtainable through this event: Wooden Barrel. The Bank Manager's "new look" included it. It is pictured below.

Donating items to the shop is very simple. It is exactly the same thing as donating to the Money Tree. Go to your inventory
and click on the wearable item you want to donate. Select "Donate item" from the dropdown, and click Submit. The item is now donated! Alternatively, you can select "Donate" from Quick Stock
.
Whether the Second-Hand Shoppe was created to help users customize their pets or to divert piles of dung from the Money Tree, we may never know, but it's still a great way to get some wearables!
