Masks of Dread 2012

Introduction

Masks of Dread is the title for the 2012 Halloween Quests Event. Users can pick one of five masks daily, getting the chosen mask as a wearable item in addition to the given prizes. The Quests began on October 25th, and is a re-edition of last year's Halloween event.

Getting Started

Before starting the quests, we advise you to select an active pet that pet is able to wear clothing or you will go to a blank page after choosing your mask. This will not prevent you from participating, but can cause confusion. After that, you may decide which mask you want to wear first. There are five to choose from: Spiky Glowing Mask, Theatrical Split Mask, Floral Bouquet Mask, Toothy Grin Mask and Stone Warrior Mask. The masks go to your closet and are yours to keep.

Bonus Prize

If you complete each quest on the day it's released then there is a special bonus prize at the end of the event! So make sure you complete them ASAP.

The Quests

Saskia needs your help to test out her mysterious masks. Travel around Neopia, while wearing the mask of course, and completing the tasks she requests.

Day 1

Defenders Quest

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask.
2. Visit the Wishing Well .
3. Make a wish!
4. Head to the Defenders of Neopia HQ .
5. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your prizes.

Day 2

Moltara Underground Quest

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask. (You can pick a different mask from the day before)
2. Make a visit to Lampwyck
3. Head to the Petpetorium .
4. Stop by the town hall and say hi to The Mayor of Moltara
5. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your prizes.

Day 3

Roo Island Adventures

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask. (Pick one you haven't chosen yet)
2. Take a spin on the Roo Island Merry-Go-Round (you don't actually have to pay to ride!)
3. Make a stop at the Souvenir Shop .
4. And finish off your trip at the Coffee Shop
5. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your prizes.

Day 4

Krawk Island Expedition

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask. (Pick one you haven't chosen yet)
2. Venture to the Governor's Mansion
3. Make a quick pit stop at the Keep Out Sign .
4. Almost finished! Visit the Academy .
5. Lastly, visit the Pirate Petpet Shop!
6. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your prizes.

Day 5

Mysterious Adventure

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask. (Pick the one you haven't taken yet)
2. Visit the Slushie Shop
3. Don't make the Snowager angry!
4. Don't run out of breath! You're almost there. Go to the Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop .
5. Head down to the Ice Crystal Shop .
6. What could it be?! Visit Tarla's Shop of Mystery to find out.
7. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your prizes.

Day 6

The Final Hunt

1. Visit Saskia's Stand and pick your mask. (Pick the only one there.)
2. Dare to visit the Wheel of Misfortune
3. Don't get spooked! Get Spooky Food .
4. Take up arms! Arm yourself at Haunted Weaponry .
5. Look your best at Prigpants & Swolthy, Tailors .
6. Pay tribute to the fallen at the Game Graveyard .
7. Feeling regal? Head to Castle Nox .
8. Return to Saskia's Stand and claim your final prizes.

A Note on the Trick-or-Treat Bags: The backgrounds listed above are some of many prizes that may come from opening your trick-or-treat bags! There is no guarantee that you will get any of them. Other prizes include an assortment of Halloween/spooky themed food, books, furniture, and random items.

Masks of Dread NC Quest Pack

For 500NC, you can purchase a quest pack in the NC Mall. As usual, you need to activate it through your inventory. Users who decide to buy this pack will receive one additional NC item for each quest they complete. In addition, users will receive a Ornate Coffin Satchel when they activate their Masks of Dread NC Quest Pack.
