The Neopets Vault: Sidebar Layouts

With the ealier site layout, several site themes were relased. These themes allowed Neopians to customize their experience. The layout of Neopets has changed and the sidebar and other features changed into a new layout. Neopians who unlocked the Sidebar themes had them transferred over into the new site layout.

The older Neopians who were on the site during the time these layouts were used, do miss them. Collecting these themes became popular among Neopians. There's even an exclusive theme only available twice a year! The basic sidebar theme is the yellow default theme that everyone gets. Several other themes have been released for Neopians to collect.

Tale of Woe

This sidebar was obtainable by participating in the Tale of Woe plot.

Cyodrake's Gaze Sidebar

This sidebar was obtainable by correctly guessing at least one question in the Cyodrake's Gaze Plot.

Altador Plot Sidebar

Neopians who completed the entire Altador Plot. This plot is still available, hovever, this side theme is not. Instead, a site theme for the new layout will be awarded.

Altador Cup Sidebar

The Altador Cup layout was available to those who participated in the first Altador Cup.

Valentine's Day

To sidebar layout was obtainable by sending a A Mysterious Valentines Card to another Neopian on Valentine's Day. Both you, and the receiver will receive the sidebar. Valentine's Day is the only day this sidebar was obtainable.

Maraquan Sidebar

The Maraquan sidebar layout was a prize for participating in the Curse of Maraqua War. This layout was purchased with plot points.

Winter Sidebar

A random event in Terror Mountain would grant this sidebar layout.

Birthday Sidebar

This sidebar theme could not be permanently added to your collection. It was granted automatically on your birthday and on Neopets' birthday. After the day is over, your theme reverts back to the one you were using. It's said this theme increases random events around Neopets.

Halloween Sidebar

This sidebar layout was a bit tricky to obtain. It required to refresh at the Haunted Woods on Halloween between 11:59 PM - 12:01 AM. It was recommeded to refresh just before and just after midnight on Halloween to obtain this theme.
