About Premium

Neopets Premium was generally made up of older Neopians, who have been active on the site for a while. The Premium members were granted access to the special Neobards called Charter after 4 months of an active subscription. The wondereful thing about the Charter Neoboards, were the trust-worthyness of the members.

Premium subscribers received the perks of the Super Shop Wizard, Space Faerie Scratch Cards, and exclusive prizes. One of the most convenient perk was not having ads load on any Neopets page. Being able to browse the site without ads made the Neopets experience better.

Premium Sign-Up

This information was how signing up for Premium used to be done. Signing up for premium is done differently now.

Signing up for Neopets Premium was easy to do. There was two options for signing up. Having a premium membership gave exclusive access to special site features. These features were not avaialble to non-premium Neopians. Exclusive rewards were also granted to premium subscribers. It was important to know that premium is paid for by real currency and not Neopian currency.

There are two pricing options:

• $7.99US per month
• $69.95US per year
• $15.95US per month or $99.99US for dial-up internet access from Neopets

All options came with a free 15-day trial. If you chose not to continue with your subscription you had to cancel before day 15 of your trial.

There were 3 payment options available at this time:

• Major Credit Card
• Electronic Funds Transfer - Avaialble for US residents only
• Paypal

Two options were available for signing up for a premium subscription:

• Obtain a premium referral from an existing premium member
• Sign-up through the premium website which was not always available

Signing up for a premium subscription required you to be 18 years old or have a parent or guardians permission to purchase a subscription.

Cancelling Premium

Cancelling a premium subscription was relatively easy to do, but did take a bit of time.

Residents of the US were required to call 1-877-636-7426 to cancel Premium. While Non-US residents had to cancel their subscription through an e-mail to [email protected] or the live chat provided on the premium account page.

In order to cancel premium, you will need the account name, address, telephone number, and the first and last 4 digits of the credit card or PayPal agreement ID used to pay for the subscription. Cancelling premium is mostly done due to a loss of interest, frozen accounts, or a lack of money from the subscriber.
